Пользуясь случаем, хочу поздравить всех наших дальневосточных соседей с их праздником. Их "год Дракона, о котором так долго говорили СМИ", таки наступил. Их собственное отношение к этому празднику заслуживает уважения. Несмотря на то, что эти страны давно усвоили западные "научно-технический прогресс" и "инновационные технологии" не только на словах, к культурным инновациям они отнюдь не стремятся. В отличие от нашей прессы, их газеты слово "традиционализм" никогда не употребляют как ругательное.

С 12-13 лет ежегодно ходил я со своими родителями в Печерский монастырь помолиться. Так мне все в нем нравилось и так хотелось остаться в нем навсегда, и эта мысль меня никогда не покидала. Когда исполнилось мне 20 лет, я стал просить от­ца, чтобы он отпустил меня в монастырь, но он и слушать не хотел, а говорил: "Женить тебя надо, а не в монахи!" А я еще отвечал: "Не хочу жениться и не буду никогда"; и так продолжалось несколько лет.

Привычно казенно стучит машинка, взвизгивает лентой, отбивая строку за строкой. Новое, аккуратное «с иголочки» дело: «Начальнику Пермского Оперсектора ОГПУ. Not long ago, I became involved in a discussion about holy water. It began with an article published on an Orthodox internet site on the exploration of the physical and chemical properties of holy water. The publication did not pass unnoticed in worldly scientific circles, who laughed at what they saw as the Church’s “readiness to accept any false science that testifies in favor of Orthodoxy”. I have long been interested in the topic of false science, and could not help commenting on the site.
