The ancient cathedral is now Presbyterian but is still dedicated to St. Kentigern. His relics were enshrined in the church until the Reformation, and it’s believed they now lie in the lower crypt.
Proposals should include Christ the Savior in the center, with the Theotokos and St. John the Baptist in the deesis position, and all canonized saints of North America, including those approved for local veneration in Alaska.
Last month, the Ecclesiastical Mission celebrated the church’s 150th anniversary.

The relics were brought by Elder Nektarios (Moulatsiotis), abbot of the Monastery of Sts. Augustine of Hippo and Seraphim of Sarov in the Metropolis of Phokis.
