The Catholicos-Patriarch
of All Georgia Ilia II met today with Queen of Great
Britain Elizabeth II at 13:00, several Georgian news
services have reported. He also attended a concert of
Georgian religious music, as did some members of the
royal family, at the Patriarch's invitation.
Tthe Georgian Patriarch plans to visit several
churches and a London library where eleventh century
Georgian manuscripts are stored. Ilia II will also
consecrate a new Georgian Church dedicated to Great
Martyr George in London.
The Patriarch's visit to Great Britian began on February
4.
