Patriarch Ignatius of Syria. |
Many social and political figures who have visited Syria are convinced of this, said the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East Ignatius IV Hazim, who received a delegation of media representatives from Bulgaria to Damascus, reports the Syrian news agency SANA.
All Syrians—both Muslims and Christians—are prepared to live harmoniously together in peace, said the Patriarch, and Christians in Syria are not the object of violence, as some media agencies suppose.
The Antiochean Patriarch is not the first to speak about the informational conspiracy against Syria. Just less than a week ago, Archbishop Theodosius (Attalla Hanna) of Sebaste made a similar statement in his commentary on the decision by the League of Arab Nations on the exclusion of Syria. He called on the LAN to correct its mistake with regard to Syria, “rather than participate in the conspiracy against it.”
