Representatives of the Church awarded for contribution to relations between Russia and Italy

In
April 2013, celebrations of the tenth anniversary of
the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in
Palermo are taking place in Sicily. The medals
"For contribution to development of relations
between Russia and south Italy", made of bronze
with the design of the famous Italian sculptor Vincenzo
Gennaro were produced for the important date in history
of the diplomatic mission of Russia. During the festive
evening that took place on April 20 in the capital of
Sicily in "Teatro Massimo", the consul
general of the Russian Federation in Palermo V.L.
Korotkov announced awarding with commemorative medals
of a number of public figures who labored for
establishment of good relations between south Italy and
Russia. Among those awarded are Bishop Nestor of Korsun
who is in charge of Moscow Patriarchate's parishes
in Italy and Hieromonk Anthony (Sevriuk), the Secretary
of Administration of the Moscow Patriarchate's
Parishes in Italy, reports the website of St Catherine
parish.
