"It has become a fashion to arrange something like a wedding—people do not go to the Church but they exchange rings, promise to be faithful to each other; that is an arbitrary secular order. It has become the height of fashion to invite a real, and more desirably, foreign priest to this event. I was invited twice," Father Dionisy said in an interview published last Friday by the Amurskaya Pravda newspaper.
Once Fr. Dionisy even saw an advertisement on one Catholic
Church reading: "Wedding in the
Church—fashionable, creative, powerful!"
portraying a Chinese bride in a white dress, surrounded by
birds and flowers.
