A wooden church dedicated to a Russian saint, St. John of Kronstadt, appeared in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This encouraging event took place in the Zaholm-Herzegovina Diocese the major part of which is situated in Republika Srpska (literally: “the Serbian Republic”—a part of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
On Sunday, October 12, Bishop Grigorije of Zaholm-Herzegovina headed the church consecration and the Divine Liturgy at the new church in Korita village. The bishop has addressed himself with the words of special gratitude to Nun Christina, who labored over the foundation of the church, and the people of good will who put much labor and effort into this shrine.
Holy Righteous John of Kronstadt is rightly considered as one of the most venerated Russian saints among Serbs.
