San Francisco, October 25, 2010
On
October 5, 2010, His Eminence Archbishop Feodor of
Mukashevsk-Uzhgorod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church
visited the Diocese of San Francisco and Western
America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of
Russia. Vladyka Feodor was accompanied by his personal
secretary and a monk of St Nicholas Monastery in North
Carolina. His Eminence arrived at San Francisco
International Airport, where he was met by Archpriest
Stefan Pavlenko of the All Saints of Russia Church in
Burlingame. Father Stefan accompanied the delegation
throughout their visit in the diocese. The main purpose
of Vladyka Feodor's visit to California was to
venerate the relics of St John of Shanghai and San
Francisco. Besides praying at Holy Virgin Cathedral in
San Francisco, where the relics of St John lie, His
Eminence visited the Kazan Church, the Old Holy Virgin
Cathedral, St Tikhon Church, St Nicholas Cathedral and
the Church of All Saints of Russia in Burlingame.
His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and
Western America and Bishop Theodosy Vicar of Seattle,
hosted a luncheon honoring Archbishop Feodor at the
diocesan center. Besides visiting churches Archbishop
Feodor had an opportunity to see California's
beautiful nature.
