The site states that, "Our appeal for the St. John of San Francisco Orthodox Academy aims to raise the largest possible total sum for the school, by soliciting your generous donations from all over the world. Given the large readership of Monachos.net, and the generosity our supporters have shown for causes in the past, we hope it will be a sizeable amount indeed -- a show of material support much needed by the school. Every penny donated will be given directly to the Academy as a lump-sum donation at the end of our appeal, less only the small transaction fee charged by PayPal for the on-line funding system."
As of August 8, $704.50 have been raised.
