The Patriarchate of Constantinople will soon allow priests to remarry, reports Romfea. An official document will be sent out by Patriarch Bartholomew detailing the conditions under which priests will now be allowed a second marriage.
According to the document, only widowed priests will be allowed to remarry, whereas priests intending to enter a second marriage by willingly leaving their spouse will not be granted such permission.
