Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II warned that the Georgian population is politicized and encouraged people to trust the will of the Lord. The Primate of the Georgian Church said that during the traditional Sunday sermon, reports NewsGeorgia.
"Today the population of Georgia is politicized; young and old are talking about politics, but you must trust the Lord's will. It will be the way He wants it to be", said the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II.
He also touched the subject of young people coming to church. In particular, he noted that foreign visitors, including guests from Russia, frequently ask why the Georgian churches are full of young people and what the secret is.
"There is no secret, Lord’s will leads people here and they come to God's house, but one needs to know what to do in this house and how to behave", said the Patriarch.
