"Over 20 kinds of Easter cakes from 100 to 800 grams have appeared in the city. And delivery of eggs is going on uninterruptedly," said A. Nemeriuk on Monday at the press conference in Interfax.
According to him, about 70% of Muscovites are celebrating Easter.
Easter cakes in Moscow shops will cost from 50 to 500 rubles ($1.50 to $16). There are also more expensive Easter cakes in luxury retail networks; they are mainly of foreign production and cost 1000–1500 rubles ($33–$44).
The official has stressed that no significant rise in prices for eggs in Moscow is expected.
