In
the town of Kentau in the South Kazakhstan region of
the republic of Kazakhstan, activity of the underground
religious association "Krishna Consciousness"
has been put to an end, reported the press service of
the financial police's regional department, reports
Sedmitza.ru.
A local resident, who had illegally founded and headed this association, in 2012-2013 performed in his dwelling religious rites in which three 16-17-year-old teenagers were involved.
"As a result, medium-level harm was caused to the health of minors in the form of mental disorder," the report stated.
A suit was filed against the founder of the association (clause 337: "Creation or participation in the activity of illegal public and other associations" of the republic's criminal code). The accused is under recognizance and not allowed to leave the country.
