OCN's "Come Receive the Light" Now Hosts Spanish Program

Orthodox Christian Network (OCN) announces that its flagship program "Come Receive the Light" is launching a Spanish-language program, "Vengan a Recibir la Luz." Each monthly program will be approximately thirty minutes in length and will present talks on different theological topics by Fr. Aristidis Arizi and Fr. David Wooten, hymns in Spanish, Epistle and Gospel readings, and a sermon by Fr. Michael Marcantoni.

Father Christopher Metropulos, the executive director of OCN, stated, "We are truly blessed to be welcoming a team of five clergymen who have dedicated their lives to the historical Church of Christ. OCN is now reaching out to touch the hearts of so many, and the Spanish speaking version of Come Receive the Light is another poignant way. This program joins the other CRTL offerings in English, Greek, and soon in the Russian language."

The Rev. Aristidis Arizi is a priest in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOA) who spent most of his youth in Panama, assisting his spiritual father in the Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Panama City. He is a graduate of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and is fluent in Greek, Spanish, Albanian, Italian, and English. He and his wife, Presbytera Maria, now serve at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Miami, FL.

Father David Wooten is a priest in the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) who has spent over half of his life studying, speaking, teaching, and working in the Spanish language, and has worked in many Spanish-speaking countries. Father David believes firmly that in the Orthodox Church, Jesus Christ offers the fullness of His Life to people of every nation. He wants to make information available so that Spanish speakers might also have the chance to encounter Christ and unite with Him in His Church. He is a graduate of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary and he and his wife, Matushka Natalia, now serve Holy Apostles Orthodox Church, a Spanish-language Orthodox parish in Miami, FL.

The Rev. Michael Marcantoni, a priest in the GOA, is originally from Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He served eight years in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Afghanistan. He is a graduate of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and is fluent in Greek, Spanish, German, Arabic, and English. He and his wife, Presbytera Katherine, now serve at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Raleigh, North Carolina.
